Freeman, SD

- Established in 1879, the city of Freeman is located on fertile farmland in southeastern South Dakota. It provides retail, medical, professional, educational and recreational services to the predominantly agricultural community and includes a vibrant retail and manufacturing sector.
- Located about 50 miles west of Sioux Falls, 30 miles north of Yankton and 45 miles southeast of Mitchell, Freeman is situated on U.S. Highway 81 and is about 30 miles from both I-29 and I-90. Freeman has a population of about 1300 and serves a trade area of about 8,000 people in Hutchinson, Turner and McCook counties.
